Frostbite and Angst (Found)

Hey, I'm looking for two specific fics:

1) I think the fic starts with young Dean and John, who went on a hunt and left Sam behind, racing back to a hypodermic Sam. When they get there and find Sam curled up in front of the open stove, they have to race him to the hospital. Years later, Sam still suffers side effects from his severely frostbitten fingers, and his hands are really sensitive to the cold. He and Dean argue about buying him gloves because Dean feels guilty and wants Sam to be warm but Sam doesn't want cushy gloves to get in the way of hunting.


2) Sam and Dean get locked in a room with a gun, and they're being monitored or whatever. They're told that the only way out is to use the gun and take one of them out. They sit there for a while, and I think Dean freaks out a little bit wondering if Sam really would shoot him. Eventually, Sam picks up the gun, clarifies the "rules," and offers to shoot himself or something. I don't really remember how it ends, but there's probably brotherly bonding.
