I'm looking for the name of a fic I read awhile back.

It was a historical fic. Jared was an adventurer and he met Jensen who was fleeing from JDM. Jared and Jensen start adventuring together. They kill a mean dragon and a village gives them gifts in thanks. And one scene has Adrianne as a tentacled water monster that almost kills Jared. Eventaully Jared and Jensen meet JDM again and it turns out that Jensen is a theif and JDM was his parter.

Anyone know this fic?

I've searched for this fic once before but didn't get any results a few years ago, and it's sprung to my mind again and is now driving me crazy trying to find it so I figured I'd try again. This is definitely an older fic (I'm thinking probably around 2007/8) and is longer one...

I'm not 100% sure if it's a curse or a spell but Sam gets either sent back in time or to an alternate universe where there is another Dean and Sam - the two Sams swap consciousness but still retain their own appearances. In the past/alternate universe, Dean thinks Sam is insane as he is speaking of a different Dean and the future and possibly demons so he sends him to an asylum where he is very much mistreated. He's kept in isolation and chains practically 24/7.

I remember two specific scenes where he is being bathed/tortured, and another where Dean goes to visit him and he is very withdrawn and gaunt, and his hands are covered with a shawl to hide the chains/bruising. He begs Dean to take him home and Dean sees the chains, but he is convinced that his brother is violent which is why he needs the chains... Sam ends up escaping or being rescued by Bobby, and cared for by Jess who is Bobbys daughter... In the present time Dean and Sam from the past try to work out what happened and break the spell/curse to return them to their own timelines...

If anyone knows this specific fic it would be very much appreciated! I'd also like some recommendations along these types of stories & themes.

Yup, pretty much what the title says. Do any fics in this genre actually exist? I'm particularly looking for fics where one (or both) of the boys struggling with their attraction to the other because of the fact that it's illegal or frowned upon in that society.
I know wincestiel fics in this genre will be a really long shot, but there's got to be at least one wincest fic like this right?

I'm in the mood to read some J2 Western themed stories. Can any one recommend some.

I would prefer they to be historical, and not just stories where the boys are just Cowboys/Ranchers in a modern day setting. Bottom!Jensen is also prefered, but warn me if not.

So, I've been reading books about the history of Christianity - not because of Supernatural, they're for something else - but one of the topics that keeps popping up is the history of the god that is now most widely recognized as the God the major monotheistic religions.

Long story short, Capital G-God originally existed as Yahweh and he was part of a polytheistic pantheon like basically all deities of his time were. His role in that pantheon was as the god of war, something similar to the role of Aries in the Greek pantheon (which part of the reason why the Old Testament of the Bible is full of such violence - it was pretty much considered acceptable for gods of war to behave in such a violent, jealous, petty, capricious manner because there were other gods in the pantheon to balance them out). Over time, as monotheism evolved, people went 'Hey, we can't pray to a god of war about love, or for good crops, or other stuff that NOT WAR', so Yahweh evolved from being a specialty sort of god (war only) to a more generalist type of god (one who was involved in everything and, thus, could answer all prayers).

Are there any fics that deal with this at all? The idea is stuck in my brain now and I want to read about, but I've searched the 'god' character tag on multiple sites and haven't found anything. I'm willing to be open minded, but here's possible stuff I would be really, really, interested in reading:

1) God not as a benevolent being, but as Yahweh, god of war still.
(Maybe he faked good behavior long enough for monotheism to get off the ground and then went back to his warmongering ways? It would fit with what we've seen of the rest of the gods on the show. It would also explain why he can't be found - everybody's looking for the wrong kind of being.)

2) The transition from Yahweh, god of war to Capital G, benevolent and merciful Almighty.

I'm mostly interested in #1, though because I think it fits better with the show. However, I'm open to anything. If there's a Yahweh fic out there (or one that calls him Allah or Jehovah, it doesn't matter to me) I would like to read it.

I'm looking for a fic I read a long time ago and could have sworn up and down that I saved. However I can't find it anywhere and it's driving me crazy. Any help would be much appreciated.

Jensen is basically sold by his family to Jared in exchange for protection/power/peace something to that effect. I'm pretty sure its A/B/O with Jared being an alpha. Jared is already married? to Genevieve but she can't have children and resents Jensen's place in the palace and tries to poison him and Misha who had gone as Jensen's servant I believe.

That's all I remember but if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.

So I reread fufaraw's Hostage (an amazing fic and author that I highly recommend looking into!!) the other day, and I remembered reading about a fic that was similar (or possibly inspired by Hostage). For the life of me I can't remember the title or author, but I believe their blog was on livejournal.

The fic was a historical au, and I think it was also a/b/o with alpha!Jensen and omega!Jared.
Jensen was a prince from a foreign land who falls in love with Jared. They both attended school/college together in Jared's country where they fell in love. When Jensen proposed to Jared he was refused; Jensen thinks it might be because he is foreign, and that maybe their relationship was an elaborate hoax. Years later Jared is travelling in Jensen's kindom and Jensen figures out a way to make Jared marry him in revenge for his humiliation. Jensen then learns that the reasons why Jared refused his proposal may not be as cut and dry as he thought.

Any ideas or leads to the author or fic would be appreciated!! Or some recommendations to similar fics!

Howdy y'all. I read a fic sometime back and can't find it again.

I remember it was a retelling (?) of the movie Quills. Where Jared is the Marquis deSade and he's in jail. I think Jensen is a priest or something of that sort who visits Jared. Jared slowly corrupts Jensen and they fall in love, and he helps Jared escape or something similar.

I don't know who wrote it or the even the name of the fic. Can someone help me out?

Hey guys.

I've been trying to locate this specific wincest fic which I never got to finish reading but I really want to. It was an au that took place somewhere in the 1930's'ish. Sam and Dean were brothers, who lived on a farm I think, and it followed their progression from kids to teenagers and as they fall in love. Of course homosexual relationships (as well as incest obviously), are frowned upon, so they have to hide their relationship. Then I think what happens is that when Dean gets older, he's drafted to the war, and poor Sam is left behind waiting for him. Angst ensues. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
If possible, I'm also looking for any fics similarly along this vein please (as in historical au's focused around the war?)

Does anyone have any recs where Jared is a king or some other kind of ruler and has a favorite concubine or bedslave and his advisors or members of the court don't like the amount of power Jensen has over him? Maybe they try to keep them apart?

Non-con squicks me so please don't rec fics where it is featured in great detail and repeatedly. I realize a certain amount of non-con will be hard to avoid given the subject, but I'd rather it stay on the more dub-con side where the J's are concerned. Bottom!Jensen please and possessive Jared is always a plus.

Like it says on the tin, i'm looking for fics that are Regency or Victorian era AU's with a Slash pairing.
I'm not paticular about *what* pairing/s are involved, or whether it's RPS or not. I don't care if it's A/B/O, or a universe where homosexuality is fully accepted, or one where they have to hide/keep things secret. I'm mostly just looking for the setting; the manners, clothing, formality that you get from this type of AU.
The catch is that I've already read everything I could find with related tags (historical, victorian, regency etc) on AO3, so I'm looking for stories maybe hosted on LJ or other sites.

Things I'm not looking for: WIP's, relentless angst/major character death.
... Anything else goes.

I've recently fallen in love with historical aus like compo67's The Shortest Distance and tabaqui's South China Sea. If anyone has favorite historical fics to share, or knows of rec lists I could peruse, I'd be more than grateful.

Also, there've been a couple genderswap requests lately, but with specific caveats I don't share. Are there any more faves lurking out there? Or bodyswap, for that matter? I've never paid much attention to these before, but for whatever reason I'm finding them very fun now.

Gen, J2, Sam/Dean, or any Sam- or Jared-centric pairing are welcome, and I've got no real triggers or squicks except mpreg.

Jensen is a king/emporer and Jared ends up being his slave. Jared spends most of his time chained to the floor but has enough slack in the chain to look out the window. Also, there is an office/study off Jensen's bedroom. I want to say that at some point, Jared is castrated. Toward the end, Jensen is attacked and the guards, believing it was Jared, toss Jared into the dungeon and he is tortured (possibly by Jensen's brother) but never actually breaks.

J1 is king/emporer/noble (Jensen, I believe) and Jared's father (noble but nowhere near so as Jensen's family) agree to an arranged marriage between the two families. Jared has to leave his home and meets Jensen in his tent on the battlefield. I know there are some major disagreements between the two families/cities because of differenting religions. I do remember Jared in a gold room, a temple maybe, and Jensen listened to him sing.

I'm looking for a long fic where Jared 'wins' Jensen in battle and takes him under his protection. Jensen is a seer but he has to stay a virgin to keep his gift. Jensen sees himself and Jared ending up in bed together but he doesn't say anything. Jared is openly gay but there is a woman (can't remember who it is right now) who is having his baby. Gen is in it too and she is in love with the woman who is having Jared's heir. There are a lot of RPS characters in it and the writer uses place names like Texas but changes them a little to fit in with the story...

I'm searching for this specific J2 AU historic fic. It's set in Restoration England where the King Charles II has returned to rule after Cromwell & the Puritans. It's NOT Annie46's The Molly House (though that's really good, check it out). In the fic King's supporter Jensen has been granted rule over the castle where Puritan Jared lives. Jensen had earlier conquered the castle, and because of this he doesn't believe that Jared can love him. There's a part of the story involving bringing back Christmas celebrations, too.
