Haunted/ghosts/alien stories

I spent all day today going through Netflix's disparaging horror collection. Despite the overwhelmingly large number of awful movies I did manage to find a few that were decent. Almost all of them involved a haunting, ghosts, or in one case, aliens. Here are a few of what I watched if you know them: "Oculus," "The Awakening," "Dark Skies," etc. I've also watched "Insidious" 1 and 2.

I would love to see some SPN fics where the boys run into a particularly difficult, even dangerous case that takes more than a day to solve. I don't care about gen or paired fics. If it is paired, I prefer Sam/Dean or J2 but will take other pairings in a pinch. Any rating is fine. I would just like to see action, sleuthing, and scary things happening that the bros/boys aren't sure is like their regular cases. Btw, I've read the Alice Grim Lane fic and it's a great example of what I'm looking for. Thanks! :)

Looking for a specific Gen case fic

Hi! All I really remember is that Dean and Sam were on a case and in a small town bed and breakfast sort of place. The creature they were hunting was possessing Dean or getting into his dreams and he kept passing out. It became harder and harder for him to regain consciousness each time the spirit (?) Went into him. And I think there were amnesia aspects where he would think he was the ghost/spirit/whatever whenever he woke up. There was a scene where Dean said that he was afraid to go to sleep because he didn't know if he was going to remember who he was when he wakes up.

story search 'FOUND'

I am trying to find a story I read probably around 2007, it was on FF.net. It was one of the first Supernatural story's I read. It was 'gen' and early on in the show. This is what I remember of the story... Dean and Sam are in the woods (I can't remember why) they come across the ghost of a little boy down in a hole. He and his older brother were in the woods and the young boy fell in, the older brother just left him there to die. At one point Dean is down there with the ghost and he wants to keep Dean as his older brother because his was mean to him. Also they come across a man in the woods (I think the older brother) he has a gun on them and Dean grabs it and turns it on the guy. Sam also gets hurt in the woods, he breaks his arm and there is a part where he's wearing Dean's jacket and Dean has to cut it off of Sam. The thing that stands out is Sam keeps wondering what Dean wants from him, he finally figures out Dean just wants to be a Big Brother. At the end Sam is having Dean show him how he took the gun away from the guy and turned it around on him. I have searched for months! If anyone can help I will greatly appreciate it! *hug* halliwitch

Wincest, J2 or destiel ghost fics?

So I was reading this fic recently, and it got me curious..are there any wincest, J2 or Destiel ghost!fics in the fandom? I mean fics, where one of the boys are a ghost, or some other similar supernatural entity and haunts the other one, because they refuse to move on or something? Or even au fics sort of similar to the one I showed with one of them being convinced that the othe guy is their lover who's still alive or something (kind of a long shot I know)...basically any fic that deals with one of the boys being a ghost (or superantural entity..reapers?) who falls in love (or is in love and refuses to let go) with the other. I have gone through the tags, but somehow I haven't really found any fics of exactly what I'm looking for.

Some of my favourites in that trope, are this fill (even though it's not wincest or J2 or Destiel) on Blindfold and Courting Death by theproblematique.

If there are no other fics in this trope, I will even accept fics from other pairings. Eventual death!fics, and unhappy ending fics welcome.

sam/dean as a ghost

Hey guys! Hoping ya'll have some information on a story I thought I bookmarked, but apparently I didn't. Probably doesn't help I can't even remember the title.

Anyway, the story starts before Mary is killed but Dean dies by falling down the stairs and breaking his neck when Sam is couple months old. It goes through Sam growing up with an 'imaginary' friend that he calls Dean. It's like Dean is alive and is raising him, but no one believes him. He gets sent to therapists a couple of times I think. I want to say Sam still goes to college and dates Jess, with Dean tagging along. After Jess is killed, Sam and Dean might form a relationship?

Or I could be going nuts and this isn't a story. haha

3 Fics: Temp Revival | No Deal | Eaten Alive

Today I am looking 3 different fics.

Fic 1: John Winchester is somehow resurrected. Bobby, Sam & Dean try to research why John is suddenly amongst the living again. Later on, a spirit appears in Bobby's house and John starts speaking an unknown incantation which cause the spirit to break it's earthly bonds and go to the afterlife. Suddenly Gabriel appears and explains that John was brought so that he could absolved the spirit, which was the "last supernatural entity" on Earth. Gabriel goes on to say that John will be regarded as a saint, using the name "John Eric" since there is already a Saint John. John then moves on to Heaven.

I think the setting of this was post-apocalypse, with Gabriel having been resurrected after he was killed by Lucifer.

Fic 2: Dean goes to make the crossroad deal to resurrect Sam. However, the demon refuses to make the deal because it's fun to watch Dean being racked with sadness and guilt over not protecting Sam.

Fic 3: For some reason Team Free Will are in hell. More specifically near the cage. Soon the surroundings start to break apart and out of the crack comes creatures that want to eat whatever they can get their hands on. So Team Free Will make a hasty retreat. However, before the cage is completely out of sight, Dean looks back and sees that Michael & Lucifer are trying to get out of these zombie-like creatures grasps to no avail. It is implied that the 2 archangels were consumed by the creatures.

I hope someone recognizes these fics.

LF Specific Insomniac!Dean Fic (Found)

A couple months ago I read a fic and I can't remember any reason why I wouldn't have saved it. Anyway, now I can't find it and I was hoping someone could help me!

What I remember is, it was an AU where Sam wasn't hunting. I believe he was at Stanford and Dean would go off hunting and visit him every so often. Sam gets a call from Dean asking for help so Sam tracks him down to a motel room.

I can't remember exactly why Dean called for Sam's help, but I know he's been suffering from insomnia. Sam lets him crash at his place until he gets better. At one point, Dean meets one of Sam's buddies but he's so strung out from lack of sleep, the friend thinks Dean is drunk.

I believe the problem turns out to be a ghost that's been haunting Dean. *Spoilers* Dean apparently was suffering from exhaustion and fell asleep at the wheel and killed a young girl *Spoilers*

Any help would be appreciated!

sam/dean specific search

Hi!
I'm looking for a specific Sam/Dean story. Sadly, i don't remember much besides the following: they're after, uh... a ghost bus, i think? It's a night hunt, they end up on a bridge where that fugster is usually spotted by some unlucky passer-by, and somehow that vehicle of doom almost wishes Sam happy birthday to the ground. Which is far below. For a few minutes Dean thinks Sam is dead, which leaves him utterly devastated, but then his brother resurfaces, and, acting on impulse, they kiss. And proceed to have sex in the backseat of Impala (apparently, grief does that to people).

That's where the first part ends, i have no memory of what happens next.

Pretty much all i remember apart from that fic being a wonderful read.

Dark!fic, character death and one vague request

Hey, guys. I was just wondering if you'd be so kind as to recommend me all of your best dark!fic. I'm okay with sad or happy endings.

Gen or het is welcome, but no slash, please.

Some suggestions: zombie!fic, apocalypse-for-any-other-reason fic, boys caught in a nightmare world of some sort (SILENT HILL/SPN CROSSOVERS ZOMG), terminal illness fics, and just anything else where shit just hits the fan.

Also, the vague request: Is there perchance ANY fic where one of the brothers commits suicide and ends up haunting the other? I have this nagging feeling I may have come across a fic like this before, but for the live of me I just can't remember for sure if it ever really existed. If fics like these exist, send as much of them my way as possible, please!

Ghost stories

I don't know if something like this exist but I'm looking for stories that have ghosts but that are not about simple 'salt and burn jobs'.
Maybe Dean and Sam feel pity with the ghosts because they are kids or other innocents. Or a ghost helps them with a task or on a hunt.
Wincest is okay. No WIPs please.

Specific fic

I'm looking for a specific fic where Dean died and Sam is really depressed for a while. Sam drives the Impala now and almost gets bit by a vampire, I think, and Dean shows up as a ghost and tells him to stop. The impala is Dean's anchor and he is sticking around to take care of Sam. Can anyone help?

Dean Fixes A House/Hunts Ghost FOUND

I read this one a looonnng time ago - maybe 4-5 years. Here's what I recall: Dean (not sure about Sam) is living with a woman in the suburbs and helping her renovate her house. There is an abandoned house across the street that had something bad happen in the past (child murder?).

Dean is drawn to the house - I think he has visions/dreams of the incident that made the house be haunted. Dean can't fight the pull and goes inside, it's like the house is "alive". I seem to recall a scene with Dean trying to get upstairs and he has to fight/struggle with an unseen force.

This is not the story by roque clasique, where Dean and Sam stay with a female. Thanks for any help locating this.

looking for undercover military story

I am looking for a fic that has Sam and Dean undercover and or temporarily enlisted in the military. they go to boot camp to deal with a ghost that is haunting and I think killing the soldiers. while there the author briefly touches on the boys being harassed by the soldiers, no real depth on this. I also think, but not sure, that the author kind of hinted at wincest, but that could have just been my interpretation and not fact.

Looking For Specific Fics

Hi everyone.

1. This one is Sam/Gabriel. It is post S5 fic, and written before S6. Sam escaped from the cage and drove a black car, like impala. Sam wasn't sure for himself being human, cause he could kill demons with his mind. And when he did that, his eyes turned black. Sam kept hunting and saved people, but sometimes, he found that he's still in the cage. Lucifer laughed at him and said, he never had been out of there and all he saw was a hallucination. Sam kept saying this is dream and hunting life is real, but he wasn't sure of it. Then, Gabriel appeared in hunting reality and told him the truth.

2. This one is Dean/Castiel. It starts with a story. There's a haunted town, seeral hunters went there and died. And the scene changed into Dean and Castiel, in 2014 verse. They fought hard but there was no hope, so Dean happened to kill Castiel, for saving Cas from hopeless present. In the end, world is saved, and the ghost in the town was revealed as Dean. Chuck and Becky tried to talk him but Dean felt guilty so much. Eventually, they couldn't pursuaid him to go heaven. The town is still haunted, all hunters who went there died, and villagers left the town.

Specific J2 AU story FOUND

Jensen dies in a bus crash while he is on tour with Chris Kane's band.
He comes back as a ghost but only Jared can see him.
Jared digs up Jensen's body and with the help of a gypsy woman or shaman (can't remember what exactly) brings Jensen back to life.
I think Chad is helping him?

The story is older and has a few chapters.
