I'm looking for a fic where all the children in a small town go missing and one night a badly beaten Dean stumbles out of the forest with all of the town's children that he saved. He doesn't remember who he is and as gratitude, the people of the town give him a place to live and work and they take care of him. Meanwhile, Sam is looking for him and he stumbles across the story in a paper and goes to find Dean, only Dean doesn't remember him, so he makes up a story for the townspeople and befriends Dean so he can help Dean try and get his memory back.

Hello all! :)

I really love amnesia fics, and I am looking for some recs on good amnesia stories. Particularly looking for three types of fics:

1. The memory loss leads to some sort of misunderstanding or general confusion.

2. The amnesia leads to two people realizing their feelings for each other or getting together (Castiel loses his memory, and wakes up thinking he is already in a relationship with Dean or something like that.)

3. One or multiple people lose their memory and it is a challenge to figure out who they really are.

I am interested in anything that fits into one of these categories, in Supernatural or in RPF, any pairing or gen. I just really love this sort of story and would really appreciate anything I can get along these lines.

I'm looking for a fic from around S2-4 that happens in an odd, atmospheric, gray city which is practically a supernatural character in its own right. Dean works in a boring job in an office and seems to have forgotten who he is. Everything is SAD. Sam appears and helps Dean remember. ~~It might have been a curse and the city didn't exist except in Dean's trapped mind, but it might not have been~~ - this is where I get fuzzy.

It might have been wincest, but I don't remember it as explicitly porny. My memory is that it was a rather popular fic at the time and that it was particularly well-written.

Hi, I'm looking for a specific fic that is probably obvious but I swear I can't find it myself. I remember that Dean wakes up in another reality where he is apparently a famous baseball player in Chicago and both his parents are alive. They tell him he has amnesia from a car accident. I think this was a comment!fic. Sam and Dean decide to take a vacation via amnesia in Season 7 (and immediately decide they're boyfriends when they don't know who they are, of course). They run into Dick, and when Crowley finds them he's very upset that he'll be seeing them for eternity.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a specific fic where Sam is ruling hell. Dean is very important to him, possibly an implied Wincest fic, I can't remember, but there is definitely a very strong bond between the boys. The angels hide Dean, de-age him and Cas and Anna raise him as if they were his parents. Unknown to them, Sam visits Dean in his dreams since warding keeps him from visiting in person, but Dean doesn't know who he is, only that he really trusts him and knows that he would never lie to him. It's a WIP, or it was last I saw it.

Quite recently I've come across a rec (?) new post (?) for an amnesia!Dean story.

It would have had to be fairly new, what I remember is that it was season 9, for some reason Dean lost his memory, and - and this is what attracted me to the story - it's kind of about Sam's struggle in deciding what he should tell Dean about his/their past. Not in a wincesty way, just the whole Gadreel thing I think.

I've checked all my rss feeds, the amnesia!Dean tag on supernaturalstoryfinders and tried to use my google fu, but no luck.

Any one know the story?

I'm looking for two amnesia fics that I read on fanfiction.net.

1. Dean has amnesia after he was pulled out of Hell. He goes to a diner and is having breakfast when Sam recognises him. Sam thinks Dean is a shapeshifter or something and Dean thinks Sam is a crazy guy. Sam takes Dean to Bobby's. Dean thinks it's a trick and that Sam is trying to kidnap him or something. It is all told from Dean's POV.

2. Sam is believed dead. Dean mourns for several months and stays at Bobby's. He's supported by Bobby, Ellen and Jo. But Sam is actually alive, he is homeless, lost his memory and has a stray dog as a pet. Dean finds him somehow and brings him back home. They are going to start hunting again but Sam wants to bring his dog and Dean doesn't want him to. They have an argument and Dean is jealous that Sam seems to care more about the dog than him. The fic was written before the Season 2 finale.

Hey guys, I'm looking for few types of fics
1. I'm craving some Dean hunts alone fics. Can take place in any part of the series.
2. Along those lines, any fics where Dean leaves Sam and hunts and lives his own life for whatever reason, and he never comes back or it takes a lot of groveling from Sam for him to come back.
3. Epic emotionally hurt!dean where he gets lots of support
4. Good Casefics where Dean shows off his smarts or casefics where some previous knowledge he has really helps. Dean is so smart, he thinks outside the box, and he has a lot of little random stuff he knows about. Too many times I see fics where he as treated as not very smart.
5. Amnesia!Dean fics. Any point in the series.
6. Any Dean/Lisa stores. Preferably longer than one-shots. Any point in series as well.
-and dean/lisa where Dean hunts but Lisa is his home base?
-Any post season 6 Dean/Lisa where Dean runs into her again. Or she remembers him.

2. Sam or Dean temporarily looses their memory and falls for the other.

3 Any first-time Sam/Dean fics set in seasons eight or nine. I prefer top!dean, but I'll take top!sam too.

4. Any fics where one or both of them get off on the fact that they are brothers. First-times good, but I will read established too.

I’m looking for stories that deal with the problematic side of being allies/friends/more with someone who can alter memories, bend time, etc. (For one thing, the human characters would have to take it on faith that none of the above was happening—there’d be no way to actually tell.)

I’m interested in:

Stories where the issue gets brought up and addressed but no actual memory-altering or other misuse of powers occurs.

Stories where misuse of powers does occur. Could be isolated instances such as making someone forget an argument after the fact (à la Buffy season 6), could be creepy or stalkerish behavior, could be more pervasive and deliberate abuse (assault or severe injury followed by wiping the slate clean)—any degree is fine (as long as it’s presented as at least somewhat problematic, not just written off).

I’m partial to Dean/Castiel and Sam/Gabriel but not picky, although I could see Gabriel as a likely choice for this given power levels and history. Gen or slash is fine, as are other pairings and characters.

I'm feeling pretty down today so I'm looking for any great Dean-centric fics out there (with a slice of Dean/Cas). Specifically (with some examples):

1. Dean-centric apocalypse (or something of the sort). Maybe something big's going down and Team Free Will are smack in the middle of it? I'd like Dean's role to be more of the focus of the story but I'll take anything where he's at least a major player. Something glorious like Redemption Road or

starandrea's Sky 'Verse. but don't say Unexpected Destinies, please!

2. Dean (or both the Winchesters) used against Cas. Are there any fics where a villain uses Dean to get to Cas? Or just to get his attention? e.g. Even If It Kills Me by

cymbalism219.

3. Dean losing his memory. Not the bump-on-the-head kind but a I-was-a-hero thing e.g. Ghost Dance by

omphalos or a role reversal of 525, 600 minutes by

oatmeal_queen.

4. Dean suffering from PTSD. I'd love for an outsider!POV of this one (with a stranger noticing his condition) but an exploration of it would be great - or any fic that mentions it, really. I don't mind if finds for this one are gen :)

I'll take AUs for any of them as well as any type of genre. Tearjerkers, death!fics, crack, schmoop ... I'm pretty easy like that ;D

I read this summary of a story and I immediately wanted to read it, but I wasn’t at home so I couldn’t bookmark it and now I cannot find it again…which drives me crazy!

This is what I remember: Dean has lost his memories since he fell out of the window of a tower (without a door?)! I think he is with his family again and tries to live his life as normal as possible. He can’t help but feel that there is something really important he should do/must do/must remember…!? And it was Dean/Castiel!!

I really hope someone recognizes this, even though it is not much I remember.

General:
1) Dean is devoted to Castiel (he could be an angel, a demon, another person/hunter or some other creature) for some reason. Castiel could send him on jobs that have Dean massacring Vampire nests or killing werewolves or anything really. Castiel role with Dean is something like a kind mentor / loving employer - or they could be in a relationship. I am currently craving a fic along these lines. It came from this pic [x] Give me many as you can; it'd be awesome if Sam or John or even Bobby find out about this especially after they'd abandoned (not in Bobby's case) him.
Dean and Castiel could be evil or neutral or good. Anything really.

2) Dean in a drag / as a prostitute / pole dancer / dancer / gymnast / ballerina.

3) Dean's hunting family (Bobby, Sam, John mostly) are surprised that Dean is married to Lisa / Castiel / Gabriel. Or he has kids. OFCs / OMCs are so-so.

4) Dean has amnesia and the other Winchesters and their hunting buddies (heck even supernatural beings) find him living his life.

5) Dean has OCD.

6) Dean ends up on the ceiling.

Destiel is preferred. Debriel is fine. Warn me if it's Wincest please.
Slash is preferred. Gen and straight are fine too.
Self-recs are fine too!

I'm looking for fics which address the difference in how obsessed Sam was: a) in finding a cure for Dean in S1's "Faith" b) breaking Dean's deal in S3 c) resurrecting Dean in the gap between S3-4, and his current attitude/choices in the gap between S7-8. Or sometime earlier would be okay too. I just want all those fics that include moments of "we used to love each other so fiercely... what happened to us?"

I'm not looking for character studies.

I mean any fics where Sam is forced to acknowledge the difference, for example:
-either brother is de-aged and only remembers the Sam that adored Dean and would do anything to emulate/protect him
-time travel of some kind; they meet their younger selves, they are body swapped with their younger selves etc.
-selective amnesia
-any similar scenarios caused by magic/MotW etc.

The overall plot line of the fic isn't important, I just want that moment when Sam realises how much he has changed.

A good example of the kind of thing I mean would be this scene in Little Child where Sam wants "the Dean that loves him and isn't angry all the time" back (role-reversed).

No het please; gen or slash. Wincest is fine, as long as there is a clear focus on their relationship as brothers as well as lovers. Destiel is also fine, especially if Cas is the reason why Sam acknowledges the change.

Specific Fics:
a) Dean and Cas were working together in the Winchester family business of being a private investigation firm thing. Sam comes back to talk with Dean and finds out that Cas is there. Castiel was not happy about Sam leaving Dean alone. I don't remember much but Castiel and Dean were good friends and that Cas was previously employed by the another faculty before coming face-to-face with Dean due to the case where they were after the same boy before Cas decided to switch teams to work with Dean.
This one has been FOUND too!! Yay!

b) It was a curse fic. Dean and Castiel were cursed and they kept transforming every time they slept (I think) and as the curse progresses the more tired they are. They were transformed into rabbits at one point and another they had amnesia and were both in the same bed (alone in the motel room) and they may have hed sex, not sure. Sam and Gabriel save the day at the end.

c) This one is a J2 fic. Jared is the Alpha of his pack and something happens where he is aware of Jensen from another (more brutal) pack where they had him wear a silver collar. They managed to rescue Jensen and then Jared took care of him. Jensen does not see his worth and Jared is certain that he wants Jensen as his mate and Beta. Jensen was given a job at the clinic where he took care of and/or entertained the children while waiting. Misha and Genevieve worked there too. Genevieve was working to sabotage Jensen's relationship with Jared.

So I'm looking for stories where Dean and Sam have their memories of Castiel removed by the angels for whatever reason, though obviously not a good one. Eventually, they figure out more or less what happened, and somehow (eventually) regain their memories.
