Specific J2 AU story - dragon/creature/immortal!Jensen

Notice: My memories on this are very vague and I'm not even 100% sure this is the right fandom or if I've maybe mixed up two or more different stories.

Here goes:

J1 (Jared, I think) is wandering or travelling around and he comes to a small village where the people tell him about the creature (J2 [dragon? immortal, god, etc?]) living in a cave (on a mountain?) near the village. The villagers have never seen the creature but they know it is there and they leave small sacrifices in front of the cave to appease it. Jared is curious, goes looking and finds Jensen (in human form) in the cave. [I do have a specific memory of Jared wandering up to the cave and noticing the small sacrifices]. Jensen is very wellspoken and respectful and easily admits that he is in fact said creature. Jared gets to look at the cave and finds Jensen has many treasures, though mostly books I believe. Jensen is facinated with books and knowlage.

I don't remember if Jared simply gets to leave after that. But I do remember another scene with Jared back in the village observing some kind of feast/tradition, a sacrifice if I remember correct. And I think Jensen comes to the village later on, too, to see Jared and/or watch the sacrifice. In the end of the fic he abandons the cave/treasures to go and be with Jared.


Sorry, this is all very vague, I know. Anyone remember this fic? I'd be so happy!
