Looking for episode-fic, specific 09x13 and 09x23, general episode-fic recs

1. I would like any fics dealing with Sam's declaration to Dean at the end of The Purge ("Same circumstances, no I wouldn't.")


2. Sam's POV 09x23 up to the moment he decides to summon Crowley. Bonus points if it includes his reaction to waking up on the side of the road and then realizing he 'lied' about being ok with all this.

3. I know about spn-epific on LJ - are there any other episode-fic rec sites or lists?

1) I have two fics set just after Sam's words in 9x13:

"No, Dean. I wouldn't have." Of all the cruel things Sam has ever said to Dean in the last three decades, that one probably hurts him the worst. And before he knows it, the youngest Winchester may find himself unable to ever take it back.

Warning for gore and some disturbing acts of violence in Chapter 1.) "Really, Sammy?" Dean asked impatiently, a tinge of disappointment in his voice. "You're just gonna pretend last night never happened?" "No, but I'm also not talking about it right now." The laugh that came from Dean's mouth stopped Sam cold in his tracks, an instant before he was knocked unconscious. "That's fine, Sammy. All you gotta do is listen."

2) I have a fic that is set in 9x23, between the time Dean is killed and the time Sam decides to summon Crowley. I don't know if that's exactly what you were asking for, but anyway, here it is:

I saw your reviews on FF a little while ago. Thank you very much! I'm happy you enjoyed them. :D

I also found an anonymous bad review on "Famous Last Words" this morning, which I really hope wasn't another LJ user who saw this post.

It said: "Wow, how much of Sam fan do you need to be able to twist what the character said around into something that works. I suppose you're already correcting words as soon as they come out of his mouth every time, huh?
Oh, and I'm sure there's some perfectly innocuous reason why he abandoned Dean to Purgatory in your little world too, right? It's like you're not even watching the same show."

Of course, I immediately deleted it. If someone's too much of a coward to even sign their name on a review like this, then I don't plan to pay it any mind. But I sure feel bad for them that they feel the need to spit so much venom at someone over a slightly different interpretation of one line in a TV show.

Oh gosh, what is wrong with people? As I said over there, I don't really believe that was Sam's motivation, but damn, I wish it was - and I enjoy reading different takes on things. It would be pretty boring if every story had the same POV.

I'm sorry you had to be subjected to that. I've only written a couple things, but I understand how much a comment like that can hurt - even when you consider the source.

I honestly have no idea. I mean, really, I'm not sure exactly what I think Sam meant by that comment. I think he was hurt, and I think he said some things he didn't exactly mean, and that it came out harsher than he intended.

But as you said, that's what I wish he meant, so that's what I wrote. Fanfic is the place where the things we wish would happen on the show but we know actually can't are made possible. So why someone gets such a burr under their saddle about it, I'll never know. Some people just feel the need to be nasty, I guess.
