Protective!Cas, Trueform!Cas; Your favorite prose & monsters

I'd love a fic where Dean isn't all there when he crawls out of his grave... But that's okay, because strange things are happening around him, protecting him, and sometimes Dean thinks he can feel a strange presence... Protective/Guardian!Cas. Gen. Dean's affliction can be anything you want, but cookies if Dean is out of it enough not to be particularly concerned about The Thing, and Sam and Bobby have to pick up that slack.

Second, it would be wicked cool to read a fic where Dean actually did turn out to be one of those "special people" that can see and hear the true forms of angels like Cas was hoping.

Third! I want to see your favorite examples of great prose! Blow me away!
