I'm looking for a story I read a long time ago that I'm dying to read again but I can't find it anywhere!
Here's what I remember of it: Dean, Cas and Sam were on a hunt, where Cas was severely hurt. I think there was something about his wings being really, really damaged. He agonized for days at Bobby's, and Dean was devastated because they couldn't help him and the two were together. Then, Gabriel came into the mix and yelled at the brothers for knowing what would happen to Cas if they went on this hunt because Sam had had a vision about it, but turns out Dean had no idea about it, so he refused to talk to Sam because he chose to ignore such an important vision. Then, when it was time, he took Cas in the impala and he died in his arms, this scene was heartbreaking, and I think there was blood everywhere in the car. Dean was heartbroken, but then, archangels popped up (pretty sure there was Gabriel, but I don't know who the others were) and led a ritual which brought Cas back, and one of them told Dean he didn't understand why Cas loved him so much (I hated that line^^!).
I'm pretty sure it was on fanfiction.net.
I hope you can help me find it! I've been browsing this comm for a while now, and I'm completely amazed at the awesome recs you can get here!
