Season 8 AU fic recs

Does anyone have any fic recs for an AU version of season 8?
Specifically fics where Sam saves Dean and Cas from Purgatory or at
least tries to. Or fics where Sam is being controlled by an outside
force and that's why he didn't look for Dean.

Really anything that's AU after season 7. Slash or gen is fine, and I love self-recs. Thank you. :D

It's sequel, The Vitas Coil (http://kenu.deviantart.com/gallery/41438084), features Sam getting them out of purgatory and much more. It's in progress.
