Specific Dean-centric AU

Hello everyone,
This is the first time i've ever posted anything on here so let me know if i do something wrong.

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a specific fic. I thought i bookmarked it but apparently, i didn't.
I'm very sure it was a WIP. I think it was an AU based off of "What Is and Should Never Be" and i THINK it was Sam/Jess and eventual Dean/Castiel.

I remember that it started out with the night that Mary died. Four year-old Dean somehow knew that Yellow eyes was going to pay them a visit so he set devil traps and wards in Sam's room to protect him and yellow eyes didn't kill mary that night, nor did he do...anything else that night. (yay! no spoilers!) John thought Dean was imagining things or going crazy or something but Mary believed him (for obvious reasons). He tells Sam about the supernatural when they're kids but John convinces Sam that Dean was just messing with him and Sam gets angry at Dean for lying to him, Sam stops speaking to Dean after that. Eventually Dean cuts all ties with his family except his mom (who tries to get him to visit for thanksgiving or something), moves away and starts hunting. I believe it starts off as Dean/Cassie but eventually they break up. I think it involved time-travel of some sort but i don't know for sure.

That's all i remember.
If you guys could help me find it, i would really appreciate it. :] <3

Are you sure it was a WIP? I rarely read them but I know I've read this story, though I can't remember the name to save my life.

EDIT: Okay, Google is making me think it's "Catch the Wind, See Us Spin" by killkacy, but her journal's been purged and I can't find another copy. :( http://killkacy.livejournal.com/16903.html

I'm pretty sure it was a WIP (or at least it was when i read it.) because although it said that it was Dean/Cassie and Eventual Dean/Castiel, Cas didn't appear at all in the fic yet. So i'm assuming it was still incomplete at the time.

I googled the name you gave me and i found an audiobook under the same name. I'm not overly fond of audiobooks but i gave it shot. I just listened to it and it's not the fic i was talking about.

Well, at least the first part, because here Sam still worships Dean, but I recommend the fic if what you're looking for is a good time-travel fic, of course.
