Pre-series tulpa? FOUND

I'm looking for a specific fic. I think I read it on fanfiction.net. This happens pre-series. Sam is the main character. I'm not sure if he's a kid or young teen, but he's young. John takes and Dean on a hunt where they meet up with 2-3 other hunters (who I think are cousins or related somehow). Sam gets separated from Dean and the others in the woods and encounters what they're hunting. It's a little boy ghost and an older man 'ghost.' Sam wants to help the kid ghost, but it turns out the older ghost is really a tulpa (or something like it) that the kid created in life that he used to kill people until it finally killed him. And now it keeps reenacting his death. At one point Sam gets possessed by the kid and almost gets killed. I think the kid controls the tulpa through drawings. Sam keeps this a secret because John wouldn't want to help the kid because he was a ghost and I think he was being mean to him and so Sam didn't think he'd believe him. But eventually Sam figures out the kid is bad and the kid tries to kill him and truths come out.

In the end I think John erases Sam and Dean's memories with a spell/potion because Dean gets very angry at how John was treating Sam and neither of them trusted their father the way they used to. I think he may have ended up using Sam as bait and Sam was almost choked to death and is really hurt.

I seem to recall Pastor Jim showing up at one point, but John either gets him to leave or gets him to go along with the memory erasure. John justifies it because he thinks Sam was traumatized or something, but it really struck me as control-and I think he may have done it one time previously and either Sam or Dean remembered as John was doing it again. I may be getting the memory erasing ending from another fic. I do recall it made me very angry at John...
