Hey guys! I just finished reading A Monster By Any Other Name (http://freac-camp.livejournal.com/517.html) which features a totally and completely broken Sam. I've also read Bait (http://maz-kazama.livejournal.com/tag/bait) which has totally broken Dean.

I'm looking for other fics where one of the boys (Sam, Dean, Jensen, Jared, even Castiel or Misha) has been totally and systematically abused (mental, physical, sexual, anything) and is, basically, now somewhat of a basket case. They're just completely terrified and scared and constantly expecting pain. And I want the other to be desperately trying to make it all better. Basically I was extreme hurt/comfort guys!

Keep in mind I have read a TON of J2. I've read all of leonidasden's fics. NC-17, AU, gen, slash, wincest, its all totally fine. So are self-recs. WIPs I can handle as well. Just give me the most gut wrenching hurt/comfort out there. Thanks in advance!

Uhm ,not entirely sure if this is the kind of thing you're looking for, but it has broken and abused Jensen (though Jared is the bad guy in this one)

It's more hurt than comfort though.

Seconding this fic rec. I read this when it was a WIP and it is simply outstanding. One of the best J2 AU stories I have ever read.

liliaeth, this was a fantastic story,an emotional roller-coaster that left me both heartbroken and yet hopeful for both of out boys. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Ummm, ratherastory's Fusion verse has Sam back from hell with loads of mental problems, and Dean's got a busted knee so he has physical problems. It's much better than I make it sound...

In the Evil!Sammy verse Sam is kind of the bad guy. We see everything from Dean's pov, so we don't know what's going on all the time. And the verse is told out of order, so we find things out later.

But look here if you want to know more spoilers:
Sam has his reasons, but does bad things-how much outside of what he does to Dean-we don't know. Sam goes missing from Dean for a while, and it turns out he was kidnapped and was brainwashed and tortured by some bad guys (demons, others with powers etc). We don't see much of what happens to him. They make him so afraid of them (and brainwashed of course) that he goes along with their plan of taking over the world. He wants to protect Dean, but the only way he can think of to do that after being so damaged is to make Dean insignificant to anyone who would want to hurt him and basically make Dean his property (slave). So he does sexually abuse him and lock him up, and is basically conditioning and brainwashing Dean-though Dean is fighting it and trying to figure out what's going on exactly because Sam won't tell him. So it's a very dark fic. But I still have some hope.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. Basically it's Dean's journey during the time Sam was at Stanford. He sinks pretty low, and he pulls himself back up. The link is to the first part of the story, and it's a long one. It's one of the first stories I read in the fandom, and I'm still re-reading it 7 years later.

It's epic (well beyond a few hundredthousand words), and while Jensen's past is dark, and hurtful, and traumatizing (he really is messed up... jeez...), it's balanced out beautifully with the comfort and protection Jared provides and the boys' absolute love. *sighs* This story also features graphic (scorchingly hot!) gay porn (seeing as they are pornstars) (don't let yourself be put off by the scene in the first chapter, it'll get less hardcore), what more can a fangirl want?! ;-)
