J2 - Hurt Jensen

Okay, I'm looking for a fic I read a long while back. Jensen and Jared are on location shooting, a group of fans gathers in among them is a gal who is one taco shy of a combo platter. She can't separate the characters from the real actors and when the guys come over to say hi, she pulls a gun to shoot 'Sam' ... because she thinks he's a monster..? Anyway, Jensen talks her down to a point, but when she is intent on shooting anyway, Jensen puts himself between the gun and Jared, taking a bullet for him.

In the end, Jared becomes super protective of Jensen, I think... and Jared's dating Sandy, I think... and the fact that he nearly loses Jensen makes him realize how much he loves him, I think.. AAKK!!! I NEED THIS STORY LIKE BREATHING!!!! -- that I know for sure :D

Any ideas? Anyone? I have coooookieeeeees :D

It's ironic that you said you needed the story "like breathing" given the title of the story you're looking for (and found-I knew someone would beat me to it. This is one of the most famous J2 fic's I've seen).

Oh wow, I posted that request last night around midnight and was so friggin' tired at the time, and frustrated for my inability to post correctly the first time, that I hadn't even realized the twist in my request and the title of the fic... *g*

I stayed vertical long enough only to click on the supplied link and squee at finding this one story has its own verse with plenty of timestamps and yummy J2'edness!! THEN, to top that off, that I was able to download the entire group of stories! Yeah, I went to bed a happy, if not exhausted, girl.

I noticed too on comments posted by readers that there had, at one time, been a youtube video someone made to the main story. Then, alternately sad that the vid was no longer available; I'd love to see it. I'm very curious to know what song was used to accompany such a fantastic story.

You're very right, however, this story and its accompaniments have become some of the most popular in the J2 world, and I think it was probably the first one I read way back when. I was just an idiot at not having saved it, though I fully intend to make up for that today as I'm planning on spending a good portion of my lunch hour reading this verse and enjoying myself immensely. This author and this verse own my heart, I'm sure of it.
