There's another one I'm thinking of, but I can't find it. Maybe someone will know it? It's a coming of age story for Sam. John and Dean get cursed to forget about him and be obsessed with the hunt until it kills them. So Sam travels across the country to save them. He meets a few Native American legends. I think the Jersey Devil follows him-it a cute little horse-like thing. He also makes friends with a woman that was turned into a large cat creature. That should be enough details for someone to find it. I could have sworn I had it saved...

And I thought of another one I can't find...Dean is turned into a golden eagle/falcon and Sam goes to a shaman?/Native American tribe to turn him back. There is a ritual that takes place in the desert in a hole/cavern in the ground, and Dean turns back slowly/painfully and there is a point where he just has wings and a bird/animal-like mind. I hope someone can find this for you.
