So I've been meaning to find these fics for awhile (and trying to find them on my own to a degree).
I'm looking for both a specific 'genre' and a few more open-ended ideas.
I do prefer LONG fics (at least 35/45k+). And I am, for the most part, looking for new fics -- stuff that's been posted in the last year with the last 5-6 months preferably.
1. Vampire!Dean. I'm looking for anything that spins off the Season 6 episode where Dean gets turned. I'm looking for him not going back to being a human -- to him being stuck as a Vampire. Slash or Gen - my main ship is Dean/Cas, but Sam/Dean would be great...though I'm not a fan of Souless!Sam tbh. I'm not interested in Lisa/Dean at ALL thank you very much.
2. Angelic!Dean. I've asked for this before, but I'm wondering if anyone has any newer fics with either Dean being turned into an Angel, given grace, becoming half-angel/ect or merely getting wigs. I prefer Dean/Cas for this fic, but gen or Wincest works as well.
3. Faeries. Don't know what I want here. I loved the "Fight the Faeries' episode, and would love some fics either related to it or just faeries in general. Surprise me here!
4. Body!Swap. Dean/Cas Body!Swap stories - I would love some fics written recently, though I've only ever come across 1-2 before, so you''ll likely not rec me something I've read before.
5. Transformation/Changed!Boys. Dean preferred, but not exclusive (no Souless!Sam unless he gains a soul somewhere within the fic). And anything really goes - though I'm not a fan of Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts, Animals (kittens/puppies/horses) or Gender!Bender please. I love some more obscure mythological transformations - mermaids, satyrs, physically changed daemons, ect. (please only rec recently written fics as I've read pretty much everything written before 2010 in this genre). Once more: Dean/Cas is great, but I do love Sam/Dean (with a soul) as well. Gen is fine too.
6. And finally...I DON'T ship Sassy (Sam/Castiel), but some of my best friends do. And honestly, I just don't think I get it. Would anyone care to enlighten me via some good fic recs? Maybe you can change my mind!

#6 - I don't read it much either, and the following is both short and crack, but it's the first thing that jumps to my mind when I think of the pairing.

Date: 2011-01-19 08:38 am (UTC)I'm only about 2/3rds of the way done (and finally got to some Dean/Cas, though I'm not sure how it fits) but it's fantastic and one of the best AU's I've read in a LONG while.
