Has anyone run across a story where Dean turns into a vampire from a combination of being bitten, drinking vampire blood and digesting dirt from the grave of the vampire that had bitten him? It happened in a fight, in a graveyard he went to check out on his own, while letting Sam sleep a little. Sam suspects something but Dean has to hear he is a vampire to be able to talk about it, but the details lead Sam to believe that he probably won't be able to turn anyone, due to how odd the circumstances of his transformation were. In midday he goes in a coma-like sleep, he needs to be fed both blood and emotions, but things like running water, sunlight, and silver crosses are not too much of a problem, especially after a ritual they performed. Meg comes into the picture while they were searching a book for the ritual, when she kidnaps them but Sam kills her and has a break down thinking she had killed Dean.
This is a Wincest, but it's more out of the need to feed Dean that this happens, like 'the best between two evils' kind of start to this 'relationship', and not an opportunity to act on repressed feelings. Sam just feels he can't survive with his sanity the loss of another person he loved so much and relied on, but Dean doesn't want to start killing innocents and live as a monster, so Sam takes it upon himself to become Dean's snack.

I read it once, about a month ago and have been trying to find it again ever since, but I can't remember the site I found it in and as it turns out I totally suck at the whole 'search the net' thing (not much of a surprise there). I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me out. Thanks!

I know that it was an AU --duh! It was a looong fic. what I remember is that in this future au fic, there were soul snatchers...people that were born without a soul. Sam went off to stanford and was used in medical experiments because his sperm could cure these soul less people...(dont ask). Dean isnt turned in a graveyard, but his soul is sucked out by the mother of the infant born out of sams sperm....Hope that helps jog someones memory. I read this a few weeks ago but cant remember the name.

I really didn't expect replies so soon! Thank you all again for being so helpful. Now, batgurl10 I'm not very sure that it's the same story we're talking about, although maybe this is the direction the sequel took? I didn't make it to that, but yes it really was a LONG fic. I don't think it's either of those stories, allyoops, but I can't really be sure, I'm saying cause my computer had let me see that fic I'm looking for now, but it'll refuse to open the links (nothing wrong with the links, but our college gifted us the internet access for research and has a very weird sense of what is secure, for example it lets any kind of advertisements from dirty sites just pop in out of nowhere, but refuses to let me see my own LJ profile or visit the site of a newspaper or a college that I'll need to check. It's a long and painfully sad story my friend...). And choasangel, I'd love it if you did find something, and nice picture!
