Dean in Trouble For Sam Hiding - Wee Winchester

Okay, so my friend is torturing me. She's told me all about this Wee Winchester (gen) story and now she can't find it anywhere!

The story is where young Dean is ordered to take young Sam across the street to a diner while John is shopping for something. Sam think he's too big to hold Dean's hand while crossing the street. Once in the diner, at some point, when Dean has gone to the bathroom, Sam decides to play a trick on Dean and hides from him in a closet. Dean can't find Sam anywhere, because Sam ends up falling asleep in there while waiting for his brother to find him. Dean has to confess to Dad that he has lost Sam. John is, as you can imagine, very unhappy. They do find Sam. But then John punishes Dean for letting Sam out of his sight, and also because he knows it will make Sam feel bad that his brother gets punished in his place because it was his fault that he hid.

If anyone has any ideas, please sing out.

Thank you! I was the one torturing her. I came up with it as an answer to someone else's request, and I didn't manage to find it until AGES afterwards (I kept thinking it was one of a jillion authors, but Ridley for whatever reason was not one of them...).

It's one of the fics by Ridley that I really enjoyed, so it was easy to remember. :)
