Looking for two fics I lost track of *wibble lip*

FOUND BOTH OF THEM!

*  The writer of the first one, is called "You Turn the Jaded into New" by fiesty red.   She has since left LJ and removed her fics, but if you check in comments, other writers have offered to email a copy of this most excellent unfinished WIP.

* The second WIP is called "He's Not There", by  thirteen_10 
So far, there are six chapters, the last update being May 2009.  IMO, this is an AU Jensen at his most beautifully raw.

I lost touch with two excellent AU fics and can't find the authors (damn and blast my stupidity in not tracking them!).

*~  The first fic features Jensen as a sweet, troubled young man whose only family are two abusive step brothers after his mother passes away, and the knowledge that they will probably kill him for his meager inheritence.  He ends up leaving town to start fresh, even though he's extremely introverted and has never been on his own before.  He ends up getting a job as a mechanic at a shop owned by Jared,  and is soon adopted by the other employees, Meg and Kane.  Beautiful love story ensues...

* ~ The second fic is another AU, with Jensen as a widdower, and former cop turned private dick...He feels lost and empty, but when he meets Jared, a young hooker, something changes.  Wonderful imagery and angst so thick you could cut it with a knife...
***JUST DISCOVERED THAT THIS WRITER HAS LEFT LJ AND TAKEN DOWN ALL HER STORIES...*SOBS*

IF YOU CAN HELP ME FIND THE FIRST STORY, IT WOULD REALLY MAKE MY DAY!!!  :)

It's the first one that's gone - it was called 'Jaded' .. I don't know about the second one.

Yeah, I'm soooooo disappointed that it was never finished...it was a deeply emotional fic, excellent characterizations, lots of layers, angst so thick you could cut it with a knife...I remember telling her how much I loved it...then my life kind of went kablooey for awhile and I lost touch...Valuable lesson here (not that it would have helped me in this case, but in general)...TRACKING IS LOVE...

Ah well, I wish the lady much luck in her journey...*sighs*

Interestingly, I didn't realize that she wrote the first fic I was looking for--I thought it was the second...So, I guess I'm still looking for Jensen as an alcoholic private investigator who finally comes to life when he meets hustler!Jared...Sound familiar?

Someone was kind enough to email me 6 of her stories (I'll be honest here, I haven't read them yet, and haven't been in the fandom long enough to appreciate the author). I have Cross Wired, Deviant Ways, Rules are Made to be Broken, Spending the Holidays and You Turn the Jaded into New. I had a quick look and Cross Wired is missing most of chapter one, and I can't tell if Jaded is finished (although it is 128 pages long!) but everything else appears to be there. I just hope I won't upset anyone with this offer as emailing fics without author permission has caused a few arguments in another fandom.

Since posting this, another writer provided a link for uploading fiery-red's fics so I was able to grab them...unfortunately, she didn't finish 'Jaded', which is a real shame 'cause it was an extremely moving piece...

Thanks so very much for offering to hook me up with her fics...she's a talented author, but apparently decided it was time to take her life into a different direction.
