soul mates

Hello, Happy New Year in advance to everyone.
I'm looking for a story that I haven't read for a long time and hoping someone here can help me find it.
J2 are soul mates in a world where soul mates are the norm, but not same sex soul mates, it is drilled into everyone's head from day one that there is no such thing as same sex soul mates.
J2 meet at college and that's about all I remember, I think they hide it, or try to and then find others who are same sex soul mates who are hiding and bring it to the media. I think...
There was also a sequel maybe two.
Help please?

Also I am looking for any other soul mates fic that you know of, any and all please. Self recs encouraged.
