Bear Trap

Hey!
Erm, so Wendigo is my favorite episode and the part that always makes me think "oh this would be so cool if it really happened'' is the bear trap scene, ya know where Roy stops Dean from stepping into a bear trap.... so, I'm wondering if there are ANY stories out there where Dean steps into that bear trap!
OR
ANY story where Sam OR Dean steps in a bear trap OR any other kinda animal trap, so the stories don't even have to be related to Wendigo ep!

NO DEATH!FICS, NO WIP's, self rec is awesome, NO WINCEST (I just want the boys to be brothers and nothing else)! And I did check the Wendigo tag here and found nothing.

It's been a while since I read it, but I'm pretty sure that the lovely and talented zatnikatel's The Woods Are Lonely, Dark and Deep story has Dean getting injured in just such a fashion (on top of a bunch of other ways —it's a paradise for lovers of whumped!Dean). Jupp, that's the one that came to my mind as well. I THINK I remember that Muffy Morrigan has something like that in her stories? Maybe?

If you haven't found it yet, this is the Muffy Morrigan fic with Dean and Sam in the woods. I don't recall if there's a bear trap, but I wouldn't be surprised. It's very atmospheric anyway.

Thank you so much for the rec, but I have issues with this story... I just read Missy Bender and I'm like ''whatever&rolls eyes''... but I see this get rec'ed like everywhere so maybe I should give it a chance? maybe I'll just go find the trap scene and read that part.... :)

The bit with the bear trap is in the second story of the series, called The Killing Moon. They are great stories, third one is my favourite because it has Cas in it. You should definitely try them. ;)

I'm not sure if you'd be interested in this story as it doesn't have either of the boys stepping in a bear trap, what it does have though is - a wendigo hunt, a broken leg for one brother and a concussion plus sundry other injuries for the other, injured brothers fighting to stay alive and get out of the woods, flashbacks and a LOT of hurt/comfort and protective brothers.
