This is one of the first Supernatural fics I read. Poignant without being heavy handed and still one of my favorite Dean stories. http://janissa11.livejournal.com/190307.html
This lovely author regularly steals my brain. I lurk on her page waiting for new fic. A story about the many different types of monsters. http://eighth-horizon.livejournal.com/42169.html
A seemingly simple concept. What if you always got the same fortune in your fortune cookie? Wonderfully written, sad, and more than a little unsettling. http://lyra-wing.livejournal.com/28978.html
This last one is a death fic (which I normally don't care for either). And it's written in the 2nd person which normally sets my teeth on edge. Yet this is one of the few fics I've read that just breaks me. It makes me cry. Not made - makes. That in itself is a rarity. It cuts me that deep each time I read it. http://community.livejournal.com/supernaturalfic/1358555.html
I'm not that big of an angst fan myself but hopefully this will help you out :)
