Sympathetic towards Michael fics

Most fics I see with Michael as any sort of character either have him as one dimensional character that's either abusive, sadistic, or basically Mussolini.

If you think about it though, in a certain light he's actually a fairly tragic character. Does anyone know of any fics that offer some sympathy to him? Or at least some character development?

I'd love to know if there are any fics where John knows/finds out that Dean is bisexual/catches him with a dude/etc and doesn't react like a total homophobic asshat.

- The only example I can think of is The 1300 Days by Stele3.
- Fic where he's ignorant/struggling with it/taking time to deal with it is all cool?
- So long as he ultimately is chill or supportive.
- No incest, please.
