Friends With Castiel

In season 6, it does seem as though the boys are just taking advantage of Cas. It's clear they care about him, but they're terrible at showing it and it seems like a pretty one-sided relationship.

Are there any fics where the Winchesters help Cas? Where they really show that they care about Cas as much as he does about them?

If you have time for a Verse, I too would rec Ratherastory- her Fusion Verse. It takes a new look at Sam and Hell with him coming out on his own, with issues, Dean has knee issues and has to have it fused and Castiel drops in when he can from the Heaven Civil War. I love the parts she writes with Castiel. It is a warm friendship with the boys and the other parts are great too. :)

Yes, there is a great story called "Breaking Point" by Aerilex that focuses on the frienship between Cas and Dean(no slash), but there are also some great moments in there with Sam and Bobby with Cas as well. The story is a perfect display of the frienship between the boys and Cas and you really do see just how much they care for him, and how far they are willing to go for him.
