Looking to pop my Castiel/Dean cherry

I'm a pretty avid Sam-girl, so I haven't paid much attention to the Castiel/Dean ship except on those occupations where it's appeared as a side-story in, say, a Sam/Gabriel story. I'd like to try to change that. Please rec my your favorite Castiel/Dean fics! Convert me, if you can. :P


I tend to prefer:

• AUs. Give me your werewolves, your vampires, your God!Castiel, your demon!Dean, your office dramas.
• Not-so-innocent!Castiel. Is it weird that I want a Castiel who knows what he wants and goes for it? For example, if we're talking a Werewolves AU, Castiel would totally be Alpha. Role-switching is cool, but I'm rather fond of the idea of Toppy!Cas.
• The longer, the better. I want something I can sink my teeth into.
• Sam is not the enemy. If Sam appears, no character assassination, please. Actually, I'd sort of love it if Sam helped get them together, lol. Matchmaking!

So, yes. Suggestions, please! Where do I start?

I prefer Bamf!Castiel myself, so that's what I went after as well. You're welcome. As for epic length, I like the stories Absolution (http://holy-hands.livejournal.com/636.html) (which is the first of a trilogy and is technically a WIP. The first two parts are written. Sam is very prominent in this story, but not bashed at all.) On a Wing and a Prayer (http://otp-destiel.livejournal.com/38960.html) - w sam - When Gabriel shows up to join Team Free Will and offers them a potential solution to the Apocalypse, none of them could have imagined what was going to happen or how it would changes things forever.
Home (http://otp-destiel.livejournal.com/19073.html) - w sam - Human and angelic customs collide leading to a misunderstanding that has Dean thinking the worst.
short but dom!cas: Taken (http://otp-destiel.livejournal.com/21714.html) - w/o sam - "You are the submissive here, Dean; the human. You will yield to me, not the other way around."

this author also has probably the longest running dean/cas fic and one of the longest (also au!) but it was started at the beginning of season 6 and sam is portrayed as he was at that point so it may not be to your liking. we have not yet learned if the way he acts is due to something like it was in season 6 or not. also cas in naive at the start but that soon changes!!!!
