I honestly have no idea. I mean, really, I'm not sure exactly what I think Sam meant by that comment. I think he was hurt, and I think he said some things he didn't exactly mean, and that it came out harsher than he intended.

But as you said, that's what I wish he meant, so that's what I wrote. Fanfic is the place where the things we wish would happen on the show but we know actually can't are made possible. So why someone gets such a burr under their saddle about it, I'll never know. Some people just feel the need to be nasty, I guess.
