So I had to comment on this... I have not read the story in question...but would LOVE to. I was just wanting to mention that the use of ginger for sex play is called "figging" and is pretty heavy...(there is an amazing fic in some other fandom, maybe even orginal that has a figging scene in it) but here's a link to some info on figging if anyone wants to check it out :)
